Overview

Apple Pay lets your customers pay quickly and securely using Face ID, Touch ID, or their device passcode. It works on Safari browsers and native iOS/macOS applications.

Supported Card Networks

Apple Pay on Cost+ supports Visa (Credit/Debit), Mastercard (Credit/Debit), Amex (Credit) and Maestro (Debit).

How to Accept Apple Pay

To process an Apple Pay transaction, specify "apple-pay" as the payment method when creating an order. The customer will be redirected to a payment page where Apple Pay is available as an option.

Important: Testing Limitations

Apple Pay cannot be tested in sandbox/test mode. This is an Apple restriction. To test Apple Pay you need a physical Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac with biometric authentication), a valid card registered in Apple Wallet, and a live (production) Cost+ project (website) account.

Getting Started

Make sure Apple Pay is enabled for your account in the Merchant Portal. If you use one of our eCommerce plugins, Apple Pay will appear automatically at checkout once enabled. Contact support@costplus.io if you need Apple Pay activated.
